Helping Hands International (H2i): Become a Partner Today!

A lot has been said about Helping Hands International (H2i) and as a partner; I wish to reiterate what (H2i) stands for. In this part of the world, people seem to be skeptical about multi-level marketing business models. But the truth is; your success in any MLM starts with your mindset. If you believe you can, there will be several positive possibilities. If you do not believe you can, then don not expect much positive results! There is this saying from MLM professionals that; a poor broke person will complain that MLM doesn’t work while a successful leader will ask himself “How can it work?” Success in this industry is not in finding the right person, but in becoming the right person.

What Is Helping Hands International (H2i)?

Helping HandsInternational (H2i) is an International NGO with a clearly defined objective of helping the less privileged in the society. This is made possible by a vision which entails working with kindhearted partners who are willing to make a donation of either N6, 600, N13,200 or N19,800 to become registered on the scheme.

Sunday Oliseh Resigns as Super Eagles Head Coach!

Sunday Oliseh
Sunday Oliseh took over from Stephen Keshi as the Super Eagles Coach and sincerely hit the ground to reposition the team. However, building a nation has never been easy anywhere not to talk of a nation that has corruption glued to every aspect of her national life like Nigeria. He faced several challenges and obviously got limited support from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and other regulatory bodies that seem to have fallen apart in principle.

Just like his predecessors, Sunday Oliseh was owed his salaries and other entitlements due to him. Also, there seem to be lack of commitment on the part of NFF to fulfill their contract terms. Oliseh may have had his weak points as an individual, which got some prominent players like Vincent Enyeama and Emenike quitting the team, but he probably had the best intensions for the team. However, not being able to continue working with individuals that seem to have set him up for failure, Oliseh took the honorable way out by resigning his position as the coach.

He explained succinctly the major reasons for quitting the Nigeria senior national team, the Super Eagles eight months after being appointed.  Read his resignation letter after the cut...

Meet Britain's first 'black and white' identical twins
They have contrasting skin tones, eye colours and hair types. But remarkably, these two babies are actually identical twins. Despite coming from the same egg, the siblings look strikingly different and are often mistaken for step-sisters.

Amelia and Jasmine Appleby, who have just celebrated their first birthday, are thought to be the first 'black and white' genetically identical twins born in the UK. Amelia was born with dark skin, black hair and brown eyes, while Jasmine emerged with fair skin, blue eyes and mousey curls.

Their mum Libby Appleby who lives in West Rainton, County Durham, with her longtime partner, Tafadzwa Madzimbamuto, in an interview said that “Amelia is the spitting image of her dad, while Jasmine is a mini version of me." She added that strangers often assume their daughters are step-sisters.

Stella Oduah
The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, February 24, upheld the election of Stella Oduah, Andy Ubah and the other lawmakers under the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had earlier requested the Supreme Court to clarify its ruling that returned Ejike Oguebego as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday, January 29 upon insinuations that since Oduah, Uba and the rest did not belong to Oguebego’s faction of the party, their elections could not remain valid.

While ruling of the matter, the Supreme Court said it does not have jurisdiction as “the court shall not review any judgement given by it, as stated in the court rules. The judgement of this Court is final as reflected in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. On the whole I hold the view that this court has no jurisdiction to entertain this motion from INEC, this matter is hereby struck out.”

Ash Wednesday is one of the most popular and crucial days in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. It opens and welcomes Lenten season of the church, which was traditionally informed and formed in taking good steps of the master, Jesus who fasted 40 days and nights in the desert.

Ash Wednesday comes from the ancient Jewish tradition of penance and fasting. The practice that includes the wearing of ashes on the head and many other penitential exercises that shows our innermost readiness to ask for forgiveness and abandon our old and evil ways.

The Ashes are obtained from the burning of the palms of the previous Palm Sunday, which occurs on the Sunday before Easter. The ashes are typically mixed with Holy Water or oil before applying them on persons. It symbolizes the dust from which God formed us, vividly brought out in the words of the priest when applying the ashes to a person's forehead, he speaks the words: "REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE DUST, AND TO DUST YOU SHALL RETURN."

Tata to rename Zica car because it sounds like 'Zika' Virus!

Heard of the Zika virus? Well, here is a brief; Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon.

The World Health Organization declared the spread of the Zika virus a global public health emergency on Monday, with as many as 1.5 million Brazilians potentially infected with the disease, which is believed to cause microcephaly in babies in the womb, and had links to a rare immune disorder called Guillain-Barré.

The virus seems to be affecting the corporate world, as Tata motors on Tuesday announced officially that  the new Zica motor will get a change of name/rebrand before official launch.

In a statement, Tata said that it empathized with "the hardships being caused by the recent ‘Zika' virus outbreak across many countries" — including birth defects, limited lifespan, and possibly death

Breaking News: Court denies Nnamdi Kanu bail!

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was on Friday 29th January, denied bail by the federal high court, Abuja. The judge John Tsoho ruled that Kanu was a threat to national security, and as a result would not be granted bail. He held that if released Kanu might commit the same offence again, and that there was a probability that he might jump bail because he possessed dual citizenship. He therefore ruled that Kanu be remanded in prison custody, and ordered an accelerated hearing of the case.

Meanwhile, there was mild drama at the court over legal representation for Kanu. Kanu had written a letter to the judge, stating that his lawyers were only Chuks Muoma(SAN) and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, excluding Udechukwu, who argued his bail application, and Vincent Obetta, the counsel, who had represented him since the beginning of his trial at the chief magistrate court, Wuse zone 2, Abuja. In protest, Udechukwu announced that he was standing down, and asked the court to strike out his name as Kanu’s counsel.

But Muoma, in order not to stall the ruling, asked Justice Tsoho to rule on the defendant’s bail application even though Udechukwu, who argued it had pulled out. The judge thereafter delivered the ruling refusing Kanu bail
